Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Is my mug covered under warranty?+ All Burnout products are under a standard 5 year manufacturer’s warranty. To ensure your product qualifies for our warranty, please visit the Shipping and Return Policy Do I need to register my mug to qualify for the warranty?+ Yes, all products must be registered or have a proof of purchase in order to qualify for the 5 year warranty. My product has damage, does this mean I cannot use the warranty?+ No, we expect that regular wear and tear happens to all products. Small, superficial dents or scratches happen and should not affect the mugs functionality. Large dents, deep scratches, or improper use and care may not qualify. Can I use a 16 oz tumbler lid for my 12 oz tumbler?+ Yes, all of our tumbler lids are designed to fit on both the 16 oz. and 12 oz. tumblers. Why is my mug making a crackling noise?+ It is common, especially when first using the mug, for material to settle, expand, and move around. This can sound like a crackling or popping inside of the mug and is completely normal. I drank all of my coffee, but it still sounds like there is liquid moving inside of my mug, is there a leak?+ No, there is no leak and a normal sound. As the material inside heats, it turns into a liquid and as a result can sound like water stuck in the walls even if the mug is empty. Is there lead in your product?+ No, every component of every Burnout product has been tested to meet US food and safety regulations. Nothing in our mug contains any trace amounts of lead, heavy metals, or carcinogenic materials. What temperature does the Burnout keep my drink?+ With standard use, the Burnout product line is designed to keep all hot beverages between 145-155 degrees Fahrenheit. Can I make my drink hotter when using a Burnout?+ Yes, there is a way to make your drink stay at a higher temperature. By preheating your mug using the hottest water from your tap, or boiling a separate pot of water, you can pour this into the mug to warm the material. When your desired beverage is ready, you can simply pour out the preheated water and put in your beverage. This should keep the beverage at a temperature close to or just above 160 degrees Fahrenheit. My Burnout isn’t keeping my drink at a high enough temperature, is it broken?+ While it is possible for your product to have something wrong, it is best to try pre-heating the mug and testing a higher temperature range before submitting a return request. Everyone has a personal preference and it’s possible you prefer drinks to be higher than our standard range. How can I tell if my Burnout product is broken?+ There are a few things that will happen if your Burnout product is not working correctly. Firstly, your drink will not stay in the expected temperature range for an extended period of time, and will rapidly fall below 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Additionally, the outside of the mug may become unusually warm, hinting at a broken vacuum.
