  1. Question

    Pam Weber – December 2, 2023

We ordered two mugs from Amazon and they had the red slider on the lid. We ordered one mug directly from the Burnout website and it came with a black slider on the lid. We would like more lids with black sliders but there doesn’t seem to be an option to choose that. How do I specify I want a lid with a black slider?

    Pop-top lid

    Adam E – February 11, 2025

The pop top lid opens when the button is barely touched which has led to spills. It is also in two pieces which has come apart at times after tightening which then causes leaks out the side. It is nice in theory which is why I picked the pop top versus the slide one, but we have only had problems with it.

When will kids for the 14oz be available? The hinge in the lid for my 14oz has rusted and is very hard to clean, but it doesn’t seem replacements are offered.

New Pop Top is great! But...

    Scott – October 16, 2023

The Pop Top is great because it’s easy to clean and so far hasn’t accumulated gunk like the Slide Seal did. And with the lock feature I feel more confident it won’t leak. But…the lock switch broke after about three months, though I do use it every day.

How do I make the cup a higher temperature? 140 is too cool for me.

    • Andy Z – January 5, 2023

Pour some hot water in first for a minute and then pour it out again before you add your drink. This will mean the cup can absorb less heat from the drink you want to drink and it will be hotter.

I’ve found a Q-tip works well to help clean the interior “ledge”.

Pop-Top and Slide Seal Lid Issues

    Justin Marble – May 3, 2025

I recently purchased a few Pop-Top and Slide Seal lids as replacements for my Burnout Mugs. The Pop-Top lids are not fully latching closed, and the Slid Seal lids don’t fully open the drinking “nozzle”. They only open about halfway making it close to unusable. All purchased items are defective suffering from the same issues. Very disappointed
